From Wikipedia: "Nose art is a decorative painting or design on the fuselage of a military aircraft, usually located near the nose, and is a form of aircraft graffiti." Of course, a lot of nose art from the WWII era consisted of pin-ups with tongue-in-cheek or racy slogans... I imagine that this is how the art on Samus' ship (or a Samus admirer) would look like.

This, of course, is a Metroid reference.
